Cool to see Wilmington make it on Outside’s latest Best Towns list, though they missed it when they claimed an “economy in overdrive” is what sets it apart from Charleston. What actually does set it apart? Less crowded, more laid back, and better surrounding beaches and intercoastal scene in my opinion. I like to think of Savannah as Charleston with its shirt untucked. My friend likes to add: Wilmington has no shirt.
